Pasión Tango brings together 2 of the best dance couples of the moment in an exciting show with live musicians and singers that will transport us to the outskirts of the Rio de la Plata.
Tango crosses borders leaving a mark of a past that resurges and triumphs on stages around the world. The sound of the bandoneon will transport us to great Buenos Aires where we will experience a journey through the history of tango with classic themes such as "Volver", "Por una cabeza" or "La Cumparsita" up to the great genius of the 20th century, Astor Piazzolla.
The beauty of the dance, the sadness of the songs, the emotion that its music awakens... The elegant and passionate movement of the tango shows the exotic cultural mix of the immigrants that was born in the suburbs and moved to great Buenos Aires to later triumph around the world and reach the stages.
Pasión Tango will speak to us of passion, of the most bitter heartbreaks while six dancers on stage embrace and challenge each other in a mysterious dance to the rhythm of the bandoneon, piano and guitar... Everything is united, the looks, the arms, the hands, each movement of the body accompanying the cadence of the tango and transmitting what they are experiencing: a three-minute romance.
DAVID AND JUANA - Dance
Born in the interior of the province of Córdoba (Argentina), he began dancing at the age of 7 with Argentine folk dance, achieving the degree of master of traditional dances. From the age of 15, he began learning Tango in his hometown, discovering a great passion for it. He participated in competitions and gatherings until, at the age of 18, he moved to the city of Córdoba Capital, where he began professional training under Mario Fonseca and Andrea Carlé, who later included him in the show "Tangos del Alma."
He was also selected for the Sangre Latina company and began working as a dancer at the Tango house "El Arrabal." In 2007, at the age of 20, he embarked on a one-way trip to Europe, with his first stop in Italy, where he worked as a teacher in various institutions in the Piedmont region.
In 2008, he moved to Spain, participating in various shows. In 2012, he was hired as a soloist partner for the Tallink Silja cruise line (Stockholm/Helsinki) in the show called "Fiesta!" In 2013, he joined "Arcos de Buenos Aires," with which he toured the "Argentina Tango Show" by Eurospectacles, traveling through Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and Poland in 2015.
CARLOS AND DÉBORA - Dance
Dancers and choreographers born in Buenos Aires, they form a well-established artistic couple with over two decades of professional experience in the world of tango and Argentine folk music, recognized for both their technique and stage presence.
Carlos trained with great masters such as Carlos Dinzel and Pepito Avellaneda, and has performed in iconic theaters such as the Teatro Colón and the Teatro Cervantes, as well as in legendary Buenos Aires tango venues like Michelangelo, Taconeando, and Café Tortoni. He has participated in theatrical and audiovisual productions, such as Evita and Tango for Export.
Débora began her training at the municipal school of Malvinas Argentinas and honed her skills with figures like Aurora Lubiz and Miguel Zotto, earning distinctions in folk music tournaments in Buenos Aires province.
Together, they have brought their art to stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, performing in countries such as France, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Finland, Poland, England, and Turkey. They were national and European champions of the Madridón Championship in Spain and have participated in major international tango festivals such as those in Lanjarón, Madrid, Valencia, Tarbes (France), and the World Tango Summit in Melilla.
Since 2003, they have been based in Granada, where they run the Che Buenos Aires academy and the Sentimientos Argentinos company. Since 2019, they have been part of the permanent cast of La Porteña Tango, participating in tours and shows such as 10 Años, Alma de Bohemio, 15 Tangos de Historia, and Desde el Jardín del Alma, which have taken them to stages across Spain, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Austria, and Germany.
