“A Camarón and Paco de Lucía” is a project created by pianist Antón Cortés, based on the most emblematic works of these two fundamental figures of flamenco, for solo piano. Antón approaches this iconic repertoire with a personal and innovative perspective, moving away from mere recreation to offer his own discourse—a proposal that combines respect, creativity, and artistic risk, where tradition dialogues with a contemporary language without losing the essence of flamenco.
At just 18 years old, Antón Cortés is considered a revolutionary and a major figure in flamenco piano for having created a new style in this art, elevating his musicianship as a concert pianist to an exceptionally high level.
There is something that happens at Antón Cortés' concerts that cannot be rehearsed—the audience doesn’t just listen, they hold their breath, they feel.
Children, young people, older adults, lovers of any music style in general—all connect with the same intensity because what happens on stage goes beyond a musical style; it’s a new experience. Antón doesn’t perform flamenco from the piano—he inhabits it. Every concert is a space of risk, truth, and absolute surrender. When he steps on stage, something shifts: the music expands, the technique soars, improvisation emerges with surprising naturalness, and variations arise in the moment, driven by the audience’s energy and a creative state that borders on trance. Each concert is unique, each performance unrepeatable. Antón isn’t seeking to display virtuosity, though he possesses it—he seeks to touch something deeper: the memory, the skin, the inner pulse of those listening. And when that happens, the genre ceases to matter—only music remains.

In 2017, at the age of 10, he won "Mallorca Talent," and two years later, in 2019, he received the Revelation Artist award at the Infest International Film Festival. In 2020, he advanced to the final with a golden pass on the Got Talent Spain program. He was also a finalist in 2021 at the International Cante de las Minas Contest, being the youngest artist to participate up to that date.
In 2023, he received the New Creators Award from the Instituto de Cultura Gitana, promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. He was also invited that same year to Berlin by the Romaní Institute as a representative of the new flamenco art of Romani youth and was awarded the Venencia Flamenca for his guitar playing, the highest honor at the Festival Flamenco de la Mistela. He was awarded a scholarship by Berklee College of Music for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.
In 2024, he was declared the winner of "La batalla de los jueces" on Got Talent Spain, and that same year, he was awarded the first scholarship given in the name of Paco de Lucía by the Paco de Lucía Foundation.
Today, at just 18 years old, he is considered a revolutionary of flamenco piano for having created a new style in this art, taking the music to an extremely high level as a concert pianist. He has achieved numerous successes at prestigious national and international festivals and shared the stage with great artists such as Pitingo, Carles Benavent, Duquende, and Jorge Pardo.
