SIMONA TODARO PAVAROTTI - Soprano
Simona Todaro Pavarotti, born in Genoa (Italy), studied opera singing in Milan with soprano Elvina Ramella. She has been awarded in prestigious international competitions such as the Giuseppe Verdi di Parma, the A. Belli of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, Il Cantante Attore of the William Walton Foundation, and the E. Caruso competition in Milan, in addition to receiving a special mention at the Iris Adami Corradetti International Competition in Padua.
She has developed a prominent operatic career on stages such as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, and the theaters of Trento and Rovigo, performing roles such as Mimì in La Bohème, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, or Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. Of particular note was her performance of Mimì in La Bohème under the direction of Luciano Pavarotti, as well as her prestigious debut at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, followed by 16 performances in the United Kingdom. Her career has also taken her to important European venues, consolidating a career recognized for her interpretive sensitivity and vocal quality.Highly appreciated in Japan, she has performed at the Minatomirai Theatre in Yokohama and in various Japanese television programs. This Zamoran baritone began his musical studies at the age of five and has trained with great masters such as Juana Peñalver, Consuelo Barrio, María Teresa Manzano, Miguel Zanetti, tenor Pedro Lavirgen, and Teresa Berganza. He has performed in some of the most important theaters and auditoriums in Spain, including the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Auditorio Nacional de Música, the Maestranza de Sevilla, the Teatro Cervantes de Málaga, the Teatro Calderón de Valladolid, or the Victoria Eugenia de San Sebastián, in addition to developing an intense international activity in cities such as Rome, Paris, Milan, Budapest, Vienna, Lisbon, or Riga. He has worked under the direction of prestigious conductors and starred in memorable concerts such as Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the Auditorio Nacional alongside the Orfeón Donostiarra, Mozart's Requiem at the Seville Cathedral, Brahms' Requiem at the Old Cathedral of Salamanca, or notable tributes to Teresa Berganza, Victoria de los Ángeles, and Ainhoa Arteta.
His artistic versatility has allowed him to tackle a wide repertoire that includes opera, zarzuela, oratorio, and recitals. He has participated in important national and international festivals and shared the stage with prominent figures in the Spanish music and theater scene.
