SIMONA TODARO PAVAROTTI - Soprano
Italian soprano Simona Todaro Pavarotti, born in Genoa, studied lyric singing in Milan with soprano Elvina Ramella and has been awarded in prestigious international competitions such as the "Giuseppe Verdi di Parma", the "A. Belli" of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, and "Il Cantante Attore" of the William Walton Foundation, in addition to obtaining recognitions in competitions such as the "Iris Adami Corradetti" of Padua and the "E. Caruso" of Milan.
She has developed a prominent operatic career on important international stages, making her debut in Spoleto with roles such as Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Sophie in Massenet's Werther. She has subsequently performed in renowned theaters such as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, as well as in productions of The Marriage of Figaro, Dido and Aeneas, Così fan tutte or La Bohème, where she has performed the role of Mimì with great success. Of particular note was her participation in this opera under the direction of Luciano Pavarotti, performing in Fano and later in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento.
Among her artistic milestones, her prestigious debut at the Glyndebourne Festival in the United Kingdom also stands out, with the role of Mimì in La Bohème, a production in which she performed sixteen times and which she later brought to other important Italian venues. After a pause in her artistic career for personal reasons, she resumed her career by perfecting her vocal skills with mezzo-soprano Laura Giuseppina Bulian.
MONTSERRAT MARTÍ CABALLÉ - Soprano
Montserrat Martí made her operatic debut at the Hamburg State Opera as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, receiving excellent reviews from the German press, who highlighted the purity and solidity of her voice. Shortly after, she debuted at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Liù in Turandot, an performance that was described by critics as “the birth of a star” and “a new diva.” Trained in ballet by Maya Plisetskaya, she decided to focus her career on singing, also participating in notable charity concerts in the presence of personalities such as Queen Sofía and the then Prince of Wales.
She has performed in major international venues such as UNESCO in Paris under the direction of Zubin Mehta, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. She has also performed Mozart’s Requiem conducted by Neville Marriner and has collaborated on crossover projects with Vangelis.
In recent seasons, she has performed in productions such as La clemenza di Tito at the Liceu and the Palau de la Música in Valencia, Massenet’s La Vierge in Compiègne, Don Giovanni in Palm Beach, Orfeo ed Euridice in Barcelona, as well as Così fan tutte, Puccini’s Edgar, and Massenet’s Cléopâtre in venues such as the Liceu in Barcelona and the Teatro Real in Madrid, balancing opera with recitals and concerts in prestigious European halls.
LUIS SANTANA - Baritone
This Zamoran baritone began his musical studies at the age of five, studying with some of the greatest teachers such as Juana Peñalver, Consuelo Barrio, María Teresa Manzano, Miguel Zanetti, and currently with the eminent Spanish tenor Pedro Lavirgen and with Teresa Berganza.
